Tuesday, March 19th

ELA - We watched the Pearl Harbor video (I have the one that is actually shown at the Pearl Harbor Memorial in Hawaii) and students wrote a short reflection.  We also read a few pages of the Messenger and made some connections with the characters in Gathering Blue.

Math - Students took a formative assessment and were grouped according to how they performed.  Mrs. Washington reviewed the metric and customary systems and I moved on to teaching capacity (gallons, quarts, pints, etc...)

Social Studies - Students analyzed WWII propaganda posters.  Tomorrow they will finish their analysis and begin work on their World War II projects.

Class Needs:  We've completely run out of tissue and glue sticks.  If you could send some in, that would be great.

Secret Question:
Tiger walked 2.34 kilometers to find an open can of tuna.  How far did he walk in meters?  How far did he walk in centimeters?
