ELA -- We continued talking about memoir writing and students selected their "something significant" topics and began designing their main character. We concluded ELA by reading and discussing Messenger. Students wrote a short reflection answering the following question: What part of your deepest self would you never trade away? Why?
Math -- We reviewed the customary measurement system and compared it to the metric system.
Social Studies -- Students continued to take notes on WWII. We discussed the Japanese Internment camps, Iwo Jima, and the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
