Math -- on Wednesday Mr. Withers taught a lesson about measuring the volume of various 3-dimensional objects. On Thursday I taught a brief lesson on capacity and students took a quiz. We corrected it together and students will be able to use the quiz to study for the assessment tomorrow (Friday).
ELA -- During the last two days students worked on expository writing and using strong verbs. Today each table came up with strong verb synonyms to replace: talk, run, sit, eat, think, and work. Afterwards they used dictionaries to find the difference between similar verbs and then used some of those verbs to draft a paragraph.
