Monday - Wednesday

ELA -- We worked on writing on Monday and Tuesday and today students completed their writing test.

Science -- Students read the textbook section for this term and completed the applicable questions.  I will be giving an open-note test next Tuesday and students are expected to study their Science notes over the weekend.

Social Studies -- Students are working on a World War II propaganda poster analysis to understand how the U.S. Government persuaded Americans to contribute to the war effort.

Math -- Students are working on measuring volume and capacity.  I will be giving the next part of the summative assessment next Tuesday before we depart for Tybee.

I am collecting snacks and I need volunteers to assemble the snacks.  All items should be delivered between now and Tuesday morning and I, and any available volunteers, can assemble the snack bags on Tuesday morning - 8:00am-8:30am.  If we get enough donations we can assemble snack bags for the trip back as well.  Please send snacks in quantities of 30 and I will purchase brown paper lunch bags.  Thanks!

MEDICATIONS -->Remember that if your child will need or may need to take medication while on the trip, I MUST have a medication form (available on the CSD website) filled-out, and the medication must be send to me by Friday.  Please, do not bring me the form and the medication the morning that we depart.  Click on "Medications" to find the medication form.

GNATS!  Tybee is famous for those coastal gnats.  Traditional bug spray is not very affective.  Some people have suggested that scented dryer sheets might work better.  Consider sending some with you child.  Hats and hooded jackets are very effective.

Please make sure that your child is fed and has gone to the bathroom BEFORE arriving at FAVE on Wednesday morning at 5:45 a.m.

Pillows on the bus are OK.  No electronics (phones, games, etc.)  Cameras are okay, but beware that damage and loss are strong possibilities.

Send a plastic bags for wet muddy clothing.
