Students have gotten in the habit of coming to school on Friday with unfinished homework. I find this unacceptable so last week I gave a smaller packet and, lo and behold, many of the same students still didn't finish. This week I sent home a regular-sized packet and, again, many students brought in incomplete packets.
While a few students had missing parts because they did not understand the content, most just didn't use their time wisely and didn't do parts that were fairly easy. Homework packets cover the material we are going over each term so its imperative that students try their best to complete the entire packet before Friday.
Moving forward, students who have 2 weeks of incomplete homework will receive a "N" for the "completes homework on time" section of the report card and students who have 3 or more will receive an "U."
