August 2, 2011 - first day of school!

Today we spent some time getting to know each other.  After we introduced ourselves we did a tour/scavenger hunt around the school.  Students had Spanish today and during Science we read a book about what it means to be a skeptic and how being a skeptic is important to the scientific process.  


Overall the first day of school went well.  We will continue to get to know each other and get situated in our new school.


Announcements:

  • We are still collecting school supplies; please continue to send items in
  • Check your child's backpack; we sent home several forms that need to be signed and returned
Homework:
3-2-1 Paragraph Homework (worksheet sent home)

Requests:
We could really use an industrial strength mechanical pencil sharpener.  Ms. Black and the Brainiacs would be eternally grateful if we had one.
