Social Studies
Students learned about the causes of the Civil War. During week three of the term they will learn about the leaders and battles during the war.
The seeds we planed a few weeks ago are starting to sprout!
Science
We completed our Potato Lab this week and students were able to get some hands-on experiences with how microorganisms
Reading/Writing
We are working on identifying main ideas and including text details within written responses. We completed a reading about Harriet Tubman and students wrote action cycle notes and used a Cornell notes organizer. Additionally, we finished The Giver and we completed some activities that helped students understand some of the more subtle aspects of the book.
Math
We continued working on multiplying multi-digit whole numbers and working through multi-step word problems.
