Social Studies -  We are inquiring into 1920s and 30s culture and economics.  We will be also be studying the Great Depression and the New Deal.

Other News
Our latest Kindness in the Classroom activity was about how to show kindness to others.  Students shared different scenarios and brainstormed how they could show caring, respect, and kindness in each situation.

Night of Expressions - My Genius Hour class, along with only two others at F.AVE, have had the special opportunity to learn African dance and drumming from professional performers.  We will be performing at 7:00pm and students who aren't participating in the drumming/dance performance can sign up to present the project of their choice.

Tybee - The forms and payment are due on Friday.  Please let me know if you need new forms and I can print them out to send home with your child.

Volunteers Still Needed!
Meanwhile we need your help! Without parent volunteers, this book fair will not work. So, please sign up to either volunteer for a shift, help set up or break down, or send in snacks for our volunteers.

We are especially looking for volunteers to help out during our evening slots while Night of Expressions is happening. We are typically very busy during that time. Parents of 4th graders could help out during our 5th grade Night of Expressions, and vice-versa!
