Week of February 6th

I apologize for the delay in updates; things are always hectic at the end of the term.  Here's what we've done this week.


Math -- This week I did a review of circles, circumference, and area. The last part of the summative math assessment will be given on Friday.


Social Studies -- The New Deal / Great Depression assessment is tomorrow.  


Science -- On Monday students reviewed for the Science assessment.  On Tuesday students did a science activity where they analyzed different objects and created tests to perform so they could examine the physical properties of each item.  Also, students took their science assessments on Tuesday afternoon.  


Reading/Writing -- Today I reviewed parts of speech and students took their summative assessment.  Tomorrow students will do their narrative writing assessment.


Breman Field Trip -- The Breman field trip was excellent.  My students behaved very well, they were respectful to our tour guide, and it was an eye-opening experience.  I was very proud that they handled the subject matter with respect and maturity.
