Mid-Week Update

We began ELA with making revisions to the narrative introduction students have been working on this week.  After that, we reviewed the function of adjectives and adverbs.  We then moved on to writing with "Show, don't (just) tell."  Students worked with a partner to take boring sentences and revise them so they were more detailed and expressive.  

During our last ELA activity students identified specific words in chapter 8 of The Giver and shared if they were adjectives and adverbs.  Students also identified what word was being modified.  

We concluded our time together with taking brief notes about the Amendment Change process.  Tomorrow we will discuss the notes and move forward with learning about the Due Process and voting rights amendments.
